               Sub-Topic 2 : A DEBATE IN THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY,
                                       WORKING OF THE GOVERNMENT (page-34-38)

A debate in  The Chief Minister and other ministers take decisions
Legislative and run the government. Whatever decisions being taken
Assembly by them have to approve by the members of the
                                          legislative assembly.
 In a democracy, these members can ask questions,
debate an important issue, decide where money should
be spent etc. They have the main authority.
 Thus, decisions taken by the Chief Minister and other
ministers should be debated in the Legislative Assembly
for the benefit of the entire people.
Working of the  Press conferences are important in a democracy to
government hold leaders accountable for their actions and conduct in
office. It provides a forum for politicians to explain issues
that may be a source of query or unease for reporters
                                          and the wider society.
 A press conference or news conference is a media
event in which newsmakers invite journalists to hear
them speak and, most often, ask questions on a
particular issue and are then expected to report about the
                                          same to the larger public.
 It is typically set only to announce huge news, something
you’d want to give TV reporters advance notice and time
to drive down and set up their cameras. In politics, you’d
do a press conference to announce a run for office-or to
drop out of a major race.
