In some flowers, male and female reproductive organs or sex organ of a plant may
be present in the ‘same flower’ or in ‘different flowers’. Depending on this, a flower
may be unisexual or bisexual.
Bisexual flowers:-The flower which contains both the sex organs (male as
well a female) is called a bisexual flower.
As they have all parts of the flower, they are also called complete flowers.
Examples are:- China rose, sweet pea, and mustard
Unisexual flowers:- The flower which contains only one reproductive organ
(either male or female) is called a unisexual flower
As they lack one of the sex organs, they are also called incomplete flowers.
Examples:- papaya, mulberry plants.
