 The boiling point of water is 100°C

               Liquid states of water:
 On cooling the water vapour, it gradually changes back to liquid water.
 The process by which a gas changes to its liquid form on cooling is known as
condensation. And, on heating the ice, it changes to liquid water.
 The process by which a solid changes to its liquid form on heating is known
                       as melting.

               Distribution of Earth’s Water
                   • 2/3 part of our planet is covered with water.
                   • About 97% of the water on the Earth is salty and only 3% is fresh water.
                   • All of these fresh water is not available for human use, as over two-third of
fresh water is frozen and is present in the form of ice at glaciers and polar ice
                       caps.
                   • The remaining fresh water is present as groundwater.
