Conditions necessary for electric circuit
The following conditions are necessary for electric current to flow
1. A source of electric current (a cell or battery).
2. A conducting material such as a metal wire.
3. An interrupted path for the flow of the charge.
Types of Circuit: Open circuit and closed circuit
Difference between open circuit and closed circuit
Open circuit Closed circuit
An incomplete electrical circuit is called A complete electric circuit is called a
an open circuit. closed circuit.
Electric current doesn’t flow in an open Electric current flows in a closed
circuit circuit.
In open circuit the switch is open. In closed circuit the switch is closed.
