TYPES OF CHANGES:


























        1.    Natural Change: The changes which are brought about by nature or take place on their
              own.

        E.g., Change of Seasons, Rainfall, and Turning day into night, Earthquakes, etc.

        2.    Man-made  Change:  The  changes  which  are  brought  about  by  man  or  changes
              controlled by man. E.g., cooking food, burning of fuel, cutting paper, etc.

        3.    Slow Change: The changes which take place in a long period of time.

        E.g., rusting of iron, the occurrence of day and night, the ripening of fruits, growing of trees,
              etc.

        4.    Fast Change: The changes which take place in a short period of time.
        E.g., burning of paper, stretching of a rubber band, blowing of balloons, bursting of crackers.

        5.    Periodic Change: The changes which repeat themselves after regular intervals of time.
        E.g., Formations of day and night, the motion of the swing, movement of a pendulum, etc.

        6.    Non-periodic Change: The changes which do not repeat themselves regularly.

        E.g., Natural disasters like volcanic eruptions, floods, and earthquakes.
        7.    Desirable Change: The changes which are useful to us and we want them to take

              place.
        E.g., growing of plants, cooking of food, germination of seeds, etc.

        8.    Undesirable Change: The changes which are harmful to us and we don’t want them
              to take place. E.g., accidents, disasters, spoilage of food, etc.

        9.    Reversible Change: The changes that can be easily reversed by removing the cause

              of the change. E.g., melting of ice, stretching of a rubber band, drying of clothes, etc.
        10.  Irreversible Change: The changes that cannot be easily reversed.

        E.g., burning of matchstick, ripening of fruits, bursting of crackers.
