Once, ten boys went to the river for bathing. They have

taken bath for long time. After that they crossed another

side. Then leader asked- has everyone crossed the river ?

Then one boy started counting, but there were only nine.

Another boy started counting, that time also nine.

Everyone became sad and thought tenth one sank in the

river.

At that time one traveller was going that way and he saw

the boys and asked why you all are unhappy ? The

Leader said that “ten boys came to the river but now we

are nine. One sank in the river.”

The traveller started counting and told that there are 10

boys in all. Then he said to the leader to count. But the

leader again counted as nine. Hearing this the traveller

said that you are tenth one.
