P. 2
So, will subtract the amount of rupees in RHS from LHS.
₹6- ₹5= ₹1.
Step-3: There is a difference of 1rupee in LHS and RHS.
Step-4: We have to make them equal in both side.
Step-5: In LHS amount of rupees is more ,so here amount of paise will be less.
Step-6: Though the question is asking about Paise , we know 1rupee difference we got,
So ,1 rupee=100p.
Step-7: Now we will subtract 100p from RHS ‘s 125paise.
135p-100p=35p.
Step-8: now, 6rupees ___35__paise =5 rupees 135paise.
nd
2 way:
Example-1: 35 rupees 24 paise=________rupees 124paise.
Step-1: In this way we will convert both the sides into lower unit.
Step-2: So in LHS, 35 rupees 24paise= (35x100)paise+24 paise
=3500p+24P=3524p
Step-3: In RHS, only 124 paise is there so it is already in lower unit ,no need to convert.
Step-4: We will find the difference now,
3524paise – 124 paise=3400 paise.
Step-5: Though the question is asking in rupees,we have to convert that in rupees
3400/100=34rupees
Step-6: 35rupees 24 paise=___34_____rupees 124paise.
Example-2: 35 rupees 24paise= 34 rupees _______paise.
Step-1: In this way we will convert both the sides into lower unit.
Step-2: So in LHS, 35 rupees 24paise= (35x100)paise+24 paise
=3500p+24P=3524p
