Regrouping of money can be done in 2 ways-
1 Way:
st
Example-1: 6 rupees 35 paise = ________rupees 135 paise
LHS(Left Hand side) RHS(Right Hand Side)
Step-1: In the given question,in right hand side rupees is missing, so we have to make
both the side equal by finding the amount of rupees.
Step-2: In both sides paise is there and in RHS amount of paise is more.
So, will subtract the amount of paise in LHS from RHS
135 p- 35p=100p
Step-3: There is a difference of 100p in LHS and RHS.
Step-4: We have to make them equal in both side.
Step-5: In RHS amount of paise is is more ,so here amount of rupees will be less.
Step-6: Though the question is asking about rupees , we know 100p difference we got,
So 100p =1 rupee.
Step-7: Now we will subtract 1 rupee from LHS ‘s 6 rupees.
₹6- ₹1= ₹5.
Step-8: now, 6rupees 35paise=___5__rupees 135 paise.
Example-2: 6 rupees_______paise= 5 rupees 135 paise
Step-1: In the given question,in left hand side paise is missing, so we have to make
both the side equal by finding the amount of paise.
Step-2: In both sides rupees is there and in LHS amount of rupees is more.
