at 12:55 p.m. Find the duration of the train journey.

Answer: Here we have one time is in a.m. and other is in p.m.

10:05 a.m. 12 noon 12:55 p.m.

Method I:

10:05 a.m. 12:05 p.m. 12:55 p.m.

2h + 50 min

So, the total time elapsed is 2h 50 min.

Method II:

Converting the given time into 24-hour clock we have,

10: 05 a.m. = 10:05 hours

and 12:55 p.m. = 12:55 hours

Step 1: 55 minutes > 5 minutes

Subtract minutes.

55 minutes – 5 minutes = 50 minutes

Step 2: Subtract hours.
