Given that:    Starting time, ST = 7 a.m.

                                          Finishing time, FT =12 p.m.




                    To find:         Elapsed time




                     So,                 ELASPED TIME = FT – ST

                                                                           = 12 p.m. – 7 a.m.

                                                                          = 5 hours







                       If one time is in a.m. and other is p.m. , convert to 24-hour clock
                         and then solve.
