Example 1: Ritul takes 4 hours 35 minutes to finish her homework.
               How many minutes is that?

Answer: Time taken by Ritul to complete her homework = 4 hours 35 minutes

                          We know, 60 minutes = 1 hour.

                                      4 hours 35 minutes = 4 hours + 35 minutes

                                                            = 4 x 60 minutes + 35 minutes

                                                            = (240 +35) minutes

                                                            = 275 minutes

Therefore, Ritul takes 275 minutes to complete her homework.

Example 2: Hemant is allowed to take 2 and half days to complete his

pending assignments. How many hours is that?

Answer: Time taken by Hemant to complete his pending assignments

                                                                     = 2 and half days

                          We know, 24 hours = 1 day.

                                      2 and half days = 2 days = days = x 24 hours
                                                                      5
                                                            1
                                                                               5
                                                            2 2 2

                                                                             = 60 hours

Therefore, Hemant takes 60 hours to complete his pending assignments.

Example 3: How many days is 30 weeks?

Answer: We know, 1 week = 7 days

                                      30 weeks = 30 x 7 days

                                                 = 210 days

Therefore, required answer is 210 days.
