Jallianwala bagh massacre
• In 1919, the British introduced the
Rowlatt Act.
• on 10 April 1919, many Indians
assembled for a peaceful meeting,
to protest against the Rowlatt Act.
• General Dyer, an officer of the
British Army, blocked the only exit
of the Jallianwala Bagh and
ordered his men to open fire at
the crowd.
