P. 4

A microscope is an instrument used to see objects that are too small to be
seen by the naked eye. Microscopy is the science of investigating small
objects and structures using such an instrument. Microscopic means

invisible to the eye unless aided by a microscope.
               Medical imaging:

Medical imaging is the technique and process of creating visual
representations of the interior of a body for clinical analysis and medical

intervention, as well as visual representation of the function of some
                      organs or tissues.

               Laser:

A laser is a device that emits light through a process of optical amplification

based on the stimulated emission of electromagnetic radiation. The term
"laser" originated as an acronym for "light amplification by stimulated

                      emission of radiation"
