  It is called new moon. New moon is not visible in the night sky.














                   2)  Waxing Crescent Moon
                     It is when small part of the moon’s surface is being illuminated and becomes visible.
                     The moon appears to be filling out. Its full name is waxing crescent moon.
                     A waxing moon is growing full each night.















                   3)  First Quarter Moon
                     The right side of the moon appears bright and the left side appears dark.
                      The bright side of the moons become larger and larger until it reaches full moon.
                      It is called first quarter moon.














                   4)   Waxing Gibbous Moon
                     We will see that more than half of the moon is lighted.
                      It continues to grow until finally Earth is between Sun and the Moon.
                      It is called Waxing Gibbous Moon
