5.  WEDGE –

                 A double wedge is made up of two inclined planes back to back where one end is sharp
                   and the other is blunt.
                   Example:  double wedge on an axe blade.



















                  Single wedges resemble an inclined plane, because they have only one sloping surface.
                   A doorstop is a single wedge.
