The human eye consists of different
parts, they are
• Cornea: the circular transparent area
present in the front portion of the eye.
Light enters through the cornea.
• Iris: is the coloured part.
• Pupil: the opening in the centre of the
iris is called pupil.
• Lens: a clear lens is present just
behind the pupil.
• Retina: a delicate structure called
retina is present at the back of the eye
where the images are formed
• The optic nerve carries messages from
the eye to the brain.
