As per the rule we have to divide it by 100 . .

So, (12300/100)rupees= 123 Rupees.

CONVERSION OF RUPEES AND PAISE INTO PAISE:

RULE: To convert rupees and paise into paise, we multiply the amount in rupees by 100
and add to it the number of paise .

Example-1: 34 rupees 56 paise=_________paise

As per the rule, (34x100)paise +56paise

=3400 paise +56 paise

=3456 paise.

Example-2: 128 rupees 65 paise=_________paise

As per the rule, (128x100)paise +65paise

=12800 paise +65 paise

=12865 paise.

CONVERSION OF PAISE INTO RUPEES AND PAISE:

RULE: To convert paise into rupees and paise ,we put a dot after two digits from the
right of the given number showing paise .The numeral on the left of the dot gives the
number of rupees and that on the right gives paise.
