In the 24 hour clock:

 Time is written in four digits.
 The first two digits show the hours and the next two digits show the

minutes.
 The day starts at 12 midnight and is written as 00:00 hours.
 The day ends at 12 midnight and the following night and is written as

24:00 hours.
 12 noon is written as 12:00 hours.

 It is no longer necessary to write a.m. or p.m. after the time.
