State Government
• State government makes laws for the state and takes care of requirements
like healthcare, education and the growth of agriculture.
• The members of legislative assembly are directly elected by the people of
that state for five years. It makes laws and runs the government at the
state level.
• The governor is the head of the state. She/he is appointed by the
president of India.
• The chief minister is the head of the administration of the state. She/he is
assisted by several ministers.
