The winter season starts from December and continues till February.

 The weather is cold and dry with temperature dipping below 15◦C.

 During winter, the days are shorter and the nights are longer.
 During winter we wear woollen clothes like jackets, sweater, scarves,

shawls, caps, gloves etc to keep our body warm.
 Drass in Western Ladakh is the coldest place of India.

Summer season starts from March and continues till May.

 Hot and dry winds called loo blow during the day in the Northern Plains.

 The days are longer and nights are shorter.

 The weather becomes very hot, at many places temperature rises above
45◦C.
