IMPURITIES IN WATER:
The unwanted substances that make water unfit for drinking are known as
impurities.
The processes that help in purification of water are as follows:
BOILING: Boiling is the simplest and most common method of purifying
water. It takes around 20 minutes to kill the germs by boiling.
FILTRATION: Filtration is the process by which a liquid like tea or impure
water is cleaned of tiny, insoluble particles, by passing it through different
filters. The purified water is collected into a container and stored.
