• This causes the air above the land to get heated up.
• Warm air being lighter than cold air, rises up.
• Cool air from the sea occupies this space. This is called sea breeze, which

blows towards the land during the day.

LAND BREEZE:

• During the night, the land cools down faster than the water in the sea.

• The air above the sea is warmer than the air above the land.
• The hot air above the sea rises up and the cool air from the land

occupies this space.
• It is called land breeze which blows from the land towards the sea during
the night.
