P. 2
WORK
Work is said to be done when the force applied on an object
makes the object move.
Examples: opening a window , opening the lid of a jar , kicking a ball
NOTES:
TYPES OF FORCES:
1. GRAVITATIONAL FORCE: The force of gravity is referred to as
gravitational force.
Example- Leaves and fruits always fall down on the ground.
2. FRICTIONAL FORCE: The force that is created when two
surfaces move or try to move above each other is called
frictional force.
Example- A moving cycle comes to stop if we do not keep
pedalling.
WORK: When an action is performed under the influence of
the applied force, it means work is done on the object.
Example – After kicking a ball, the ball moves.done when the force
applied on an object makes the object move.
Work is said to be done when the force applied on an object makes the object move.
