There are some words whose past tense is same as their
present tense.
Example: She must cut the fruits quickly. (present tense)
She already cut the vegetables yesterday. (past tense)
In the above example, the word cut remains the same in
both present tense as well as past tense.
A few more examples of such words are ‘bet’, ‘put’,
‘burst’, ‘hit’, ‘let’, ‘quit’, ‘hurt’, ‘read’, ‘spread’, ‘quit’,
‘shut’ and ‘reset’.
