A UNIQUE INVENTION

Plot-

The play has been divided into scene 1 and scene 2. In the first scene, the village
head takes the lead in introducing the plot by bringing in Sir Pablo Smith, the
scientist who wants to experiment with his new sound removing device on the
village. Without realizing the consequences of the experiment, the villagers agree
to let him do so. In fact, everyone is very excited as they believe that all the

unpleasant sounds will be removed from the village. When a small boy questions
the validity of the device, he is scorned and shunned by the village head.

In scene 2, the table turned on the villagers as the experiment leaves their village
soundless. Along with the unpleasant sounds, pleasant sounds also vanished.
Only one person has the last laugh and that is Mike whose house was excluded
from this experiment.

This story criticizes those mad inventors who do not involve their heart in
decision making.It also is a lesson for all those brainless public who get so
captivated by new inventions that they fail to see its drawbacks.
