Meaning,symptoms,features,causes,prevention and treatment of injuries

                       Soft-tissue Injury
                       1.Contusion- Muscle injury.
                    A direct hit with/without a sports equipment hit
                    Falling /bumping/hit/kicked
 A contusion happens when an injured capillary or blood vessel leaks blood into the
surrounding area. Contusions are a type of hematoma, which refers to any collection of
blood outside of a blood vessel. While the term contusion might sound serious, it's just a
medical term for the common bruise.
                    Boxing/kabaddi/wrestling etc
                    Symptoms/features-Stiffness and swelling
 Prevention- Proper warming up, Proper conditioning, protective equipment, Quality sports
                       equipment,playfields,scientific knowledge,carefull,good officiating

Treatment- Mild muscle injuries begin to heal within a few days. Your doctor may prescribe
anti-inflammatory medication to reduce inflammation and swelling and to speed your
               recovery.

Your doctor may also recommend the RICE method:

 Rest. Protect your injury from further damage by stopping unnecessary physical
                       activity.
 Ice. Apply ice to your injury to reduce pain, swelling, and bleeding. Don’t apply ice
directly to the skin. Instead, wrap ice in a damp cloth or towel to protect your skin
from ice burns. Apply ice for 20 minutes every two hours. Repeat this process for a
                       few days following your injury.
 Compression. Wrap your injury with a bandage to provide additional support. This
also prevents more bleeding and reduces swelling.
 Elevation. Elevate your injury above your heart level when at rest. This increases
                       circulation and reduces swelling.

Mild muscle bruises respond to the RICE method within 24 to 48 hours. If you notice no
signs of improvement, seek medical attention. This could be indication of a more serious
               injury.

In more severe cases, your doctor may recommend physical therapy to increase mobility.

                       2. Strain-Muscle Injury
 Overexerting your body can lead to numerous injuries. A muscle strain, or pulled muscle,
occurs when your muscle is overstretched or torn. This can be minor and like soreness after
an intense workout, or it can be so severe that it needs surgical repair. Muscle strains are a
                       very common injury

 Prevention- Proper warming up, Proper conditioning, protective equipment,
                       Quality sports equipment,playfields,scientific knowledge,carefull,good officiating
