               Short note

                Some of the problems faced in Rural banking are :-


                     Insufficiency

                     Inadequate coverage of institutional sources

                     Inadequate amount of sanction
                     Less attention to poor or marginal farmers

                     Growing over dues   1). Poor repaying capacity  2). Wilful

                       defaulter .


               To improve the situation


                   1) Banks need to change their approach
                   2) Farmers need to increase the habit of thrift


               AGRICULTURE MARKET SYSTEM


               Meaning: It is a process that involves assembling , storage ,processing

               , transportation ,packaging ,grading and distribution of different
               agricultural commodities across the country .


               Problems faced by farmers:-


                   i)     Manipulation of big farms

                   ii)    Lac of market information
                   iii)  Lack of storage facilities


               Measures :-


                   i)     Regulated markets

                   ii)    Infrastructural Facilities
                   iii)  Cooperative marketing

                   iv)  Different policy instruments :- MSP , PDS & etc


               Emerging alternate marketing channels :
