Difference between Fission in Amoeba and Leishmania

Fission in Amoeba Fission in Leishmania
In amoeba, splitting of the cell into Leishmania has a whip like structure at
two during cell division can take place in one end of the cell, hence binary fission
any plane. occurs in a definite orientation in relation
                                                              to this structure.

                 Multiple fission

 It is the process of asexual reproduction in which, instead of 2 daughter cells,
many daughter cells are produced from the parent cell.
 In this, the nucleus undergoes repeated division to produce a large number of
                       nuclei.
 Each nucleus, along with little bit of cytoplasm, forms a membrane around it.
 Thus, many daughter cells are produced within a protective wall called cyst.
 Under favourable conditions, the cyst bursts and the daughter cells are released,
                       for eg; Plasmodium (multicellular protozoan)

                   b) Fragmentation

 In multicellular organisms, it is a form of Asexual reproduction in which the
body breaks into several fragments upon maturation, which later develop into
                         complete organisms.
 Each of these fragments develop into matured, full grown individuals that are
                         identical to their parents.
