25.4 Famous Personalities of India


               Learning Objective: The students will learn about the famous
               personalities of India.


               Note:

                     There are many great personalities in India who have made great

                       contribution for our country.
                      They are great pride for our country.

                     Their sacrifice and hard work had taken our country towards success in
                       all fields.

                     Mahatma Gandhi (Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi ) is known as the
                       father of our nation.

                     Subhash Chandra Bose has given a great contribution to make our
                       country free from British rule. He was famous for his slogan Jai Hind.

                     Another well known personality is Mother Teresa who is known for her
                       work for the development of the poor and orphan children. She opened

                       an orphanage known as Nirmal Hriday



               Learning Outcome: The students can tell about famous

               personalities of India.
