24.2 Importance of plants and trees
Learning objective- The students will learn that plants and trees are
important.
Note:
Trees are one of the most important parts of our environment.
They provide habitat for all sorts of insects, birds and other animals.
Trees are also used as food by humans and animals.
They not only give beauty to our surroundings but also give us shade in hot
summer.
They act as the filter to keep our air clean and ecosystems healthy.
We breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide.
Trees take in carbon dioxide and take out oxygen during the day.
They provide enough oxygen to keep the proper balance of oxygen in our
atmosphere.
Trees help to hold the soil tightly with their roots, so it cannot be washed away
by rain.
As trees are so important for our earth, we must always protect them.
There is a very popular phrase to describe the importance of trees.
SAVE TREES SAVE A LIFE.
Learning outcome- The students can tell that plants and trees are important.
