19.1 WHY DO WE CELEBRATE FESTIVALS?

Note:

Learning Objective- The students will know why festivals are important for us.

 People all around the world celebrate many festivals. Festival is a time when
people come together with their families, friends and relatives to have fun and
enjoy with each other.

 In India also we celebrate many festivals. Festivals are very important for all of
us as it bring people together, enjoying with everyone and forget about our
worries and problems.
 We decorate our houses, wear new clothes, eat special dishes and meet with
our friends and relatives.

 The important reason behind festivals is to bring togetherness among us and
stay happy always.

 Festivals are celebrated according to places, particular country or particular
faith or religion we follow and believe in.
 Lastly, we should know that main idea behind festival is being together happily.

Learning Outcome- The students can explain the importance of festivals.
