18.2 JOB AND WORK
Learning Objective- The students will know the difference between job and
work.
Who helps you in studies at home? Mother or Father or elder sister/brother?
Your family helps and takes care of you all the time. They make food for you,
drop you to school, and take you out for fun and so many other things.
These activities of them are known as their work. But when a driver drops
you at school or a chef prepares food for you at a hotel then these activities
are known as job.
All of us need money spend it on things we require. Money is an important
part of our life. When a person does some activities to earn money then that
is known as her or his job.
For example, your driver takes money when he does job for you. Also when a
gardener takes care of your garden, she or he takes money for it. But when
someone does some activities for helping someone and not for money then
they are doing work and not job.
For example, your parents take care of you and they expect any charge from
you. They do it for you out their love and care for you.
As both types of people whether they are doing work or their job, they are
helping in so many ways. So, we should be thankful and respect them all.
Learning Outcome- The students can tell the difference between job and work.
