Learning Outcome: The students are able to show repeated subtraction as

        division.

Lesson 21.3- Division on the number line

Learning Objective: The students will be able to show repeated subtraction on

        number line.

        Explanation-

 We can also show repeated subtraction on number line.

 we can show repeated subtraction by counting backward in equal jumps.
             Example- 10 ÷ 2

 We first take a big jump to the bigger number ie 10. It means the total
number of objects that need to be distributed is 10.

 After reaching the bigger number, we need to move back by taking equal
                       number of jumps.
 Here in this example 2 is mentioned which means 2 is the number of

                       objects in each group .
 We need to move back continuously by taking 2 steps each time untill
                       we reach 0.

 Once we reach on 0 it means the total no of objects have been equally
                       distributed.
 Now we need to count the number of jumps we took to reach 0, the
number of jumps taken to reach 0 is the answer.

 Here we have taken 5 jumps which means we got 5 number of groups
after distributing 10 objects and in each group there are 2 objects.
