Lesson 20.3- Multiplication of single digit numbers (horizontally & vertically)
Learning Objective-Student will be able to multiply. Single digit with single
digit horizontally and vertically.
Explanation-
When both the numbers are in a sleeping line with a “×” sign in between
we say it as horizontal multiplication.
Ex- 4 × 2 = 8
When both the numbers are in a standing line with a “×” sign in between
we say it as vertical multiplication.
Ex – 4

The steps for the vertical multiplication is
Step-1 Write the numbers under tens and ones.
Step-2 Multiply the digit at ones place.
