 Step 2-When we do a double digit with double digit
subtraction the digits in the ones and tens place of the

minuend should be greater than the subtrahend.

 Step 3-Subtract the digits under ones place and write the
answer in ones place.

 Step 4- Subtract the digits under tens place and write the

answer in tens place.

 After subtracting the subtrahend from the minuend we get

the difference.

 We have written the number 57 and 34 under tens and

ones.

 We subtracted the digits in the ones place (7-4) and

wrote the answer (3) in the ones place.
