 In the expanded form we break up a number according to

their place value and expand it to show the value of each

digit.

 When we expand a two digit number the digit on the left

represents the tens and the digit on the right represents the

ones place.

 Ex- 86

86 has 8 tens and 6 ones

So it is written as 8 tens + 6 ones OR 80+6

Learning Outcome- Students are able to write any two digit number
in expanded form.
