Setting

Learning objective : Students will be able to identify the

setting of any given story.

Explanation :

 A setting is the place where the story occurs.

 A setting is one of the most important elements of a

story.

 A story is incomplete without a setting.

 Settings can be one or more than one in a story.

 A good description of the setting actually helps us to

imagine and visualize the place where the story is

taking place

 The setting may also change according to the given
situation.

For example : Forest or village is the setting in the

story “The Thirsty Crow”.

Learning outcome : Students can identify the setting of

any given story.
