ABC Order (1 and 2 letter)
Learning objective: Students will be able to arrange the
words in ABC order.
Explanation:
• It is an order where words are sorted in alphabetical
order by looking at the first letter of each word.
• If first letters are the same in more than one word then
we see the second letter.
• If the second letter is same in more than one word,
them we look at the third letter.
e.g. – ant, tap, fin, bat pot, pin, sit, bin
ant, bat, fin, tap bin, pin, pot, sit
In pin and pot, both words have first letter ‘p’. So, we see
the second letter o and i. as ‘i’ comes before ‘o’ , word ‘pin’
will come before word ‘pot’.
Learning outcome: Students can arrange the words in ABC
order.
