Learning objective : Students will be able to pronounce,

read and write words with these blends.

Explanation :

 When two consonants come together, they form a
blend. You hear the sound of both letters together.

 /br/, /cr/, /fr/ and /gr/ are blends.

 These blends always come in the beginning a word.

 Words with /br/ are – brisk, break, brush, bruise
 Words with /cr/ are – crawl, cradle, cruise, crispy

 Words with /fr/ are – frown, fresh, fruits, from

 Words with /gr/ are – grasp, grapes, grow, great

Learning outcome : Students can pronounce, read and write

words with these blends.
