Phonics - /sc/, /sk/ and /sch/
Learning objective : Students will be able to identify,
pronounce and write words with /sc/, /sk/ and /sch/.
Explanation :
Phonics /sk/, /sc/ and /sch/ have similar sound.
These three phonic sounds are used in different words.
Identification of words with three different set of
letters with similar is very important to write
respective words.
/sc/ always occurs in the beginning of a word.
For eg. scope, scare, scarf
/sk/ occurs in the beginning as well as at the end of a
word.
For eg. skate, skip, rusk, brisk
/sch/ occurs in the beginning of a word.
For eg. school, scheme, scholar
