                                                     Preposition




               Learning objective : Students will be able to identify prepositions in

               sentences and also use suitable prepositions in sentences.




               Explanation


                     A preposition is a word which shows position of a noun.

                       Prepositions is also known as position words.

                     A preposition is always used before a noun or a pronoun.

                     The prepositions are – on, under, in, out, near, top, above,
                       below, bottom, before, after, between etc.

                     Prepositions are very useful in a sentence because it connects

                       a noun or a pronoun with a verb or an adjective.



                       Examples :

                       1. She is sitting under the tree.
                       2. They are walking on the road.

                       3. I kept a bottle in the fridge.





               Learning outcome : Students can identify prepositions in sentences

               and also use suitable prepositions in sentences.
