One and many
Learning objective : Students will learn all the rules of
changing from singular to plural(adding 'es', 'ies', 'ves').
Explanation:
Singular nouns refer to just one person, place, animal or thing.
Example- boy, pen, mango, wolf, baby
Plural nouns refer to two or more persons, places, animals or
things.
Example- boys, pens, mangoes, wolves, babies
Every naming word is either one or more than one. In order to
differentiate between one and many, we follow the singular
plural rules for different words.
Some words change completely from one to many
Ex: foot – feet
tooth- teeth
person- people
child- children
mouse- mice
woman- women
