Topic- Properties and concentration of solutions
                                                    LESSON NOTE

 A solution is a homogeneous mixture of two or more non reacting substances.
 The particles of solute in a solution cannot be seen by the naked eye.
 A solution does not allow beams of light to scatter.
             A solution is stable.
 The solute from a solution cannot be separated by filtration (or mechanically)
 Binary solution: It is a solution which contains only two components

               Dilute and Concentrated solutions
Dilute solutions: These are the solutions which has a higher percentage of solvent
               than that of solute.

Concentrated solutions: These are the solutions which contain a higher percentage of
               solute than the solvent.

               Concentration of a solution:
The concentration of a solution is a measure of the amount of solute that has been
dissolved in a given amount of solvent or solution.

Concentration of a solution can be expressed in different ways

Percentage method: The percentage of solute present in a solution.

Mass Percent: The concentration of solid-liquid solutions usually expressed in terms of
               mass percent.

The mass percent of a solution can be defined as the mass of the solute in grams
present 100 grams of the solution.

                                                                   =

Mass of solution= Mass of solute + Mass of solvent

Thus, Mass percentage can be expressed as

                                                          =
                                                                              +
