                                  Steps to conserve water: -


                               1.  Planting trees to slow surface run-off and restore underground water.
                               2.  Using water harvesting method to save surface runoff.
                               3.  Lining of canals used for irrigation for any seepage or water.

                               4.  Rain water harvesting and storing it for future use in cultivation, etc.

                               5.  Installing recycling plants to conserve water and stop wastage.

                               6.  Developing better irrigation facilities to conserve water.

                               7.  Proper treatment of effluents before discharging into water bodies.

                               8.  Using methods like sprinklers and drip or trickle irrigation.
