Grammar-Tenses –PERFECT CONTINUOUS
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Use present, past, and future tenses with appropriate time markers as used in PERFECT
TENSE.
2. Recognize PERFECT TENSE in a sentence and learn how to use it in a sentence.
3. The children will read easily, fluently and with good understanding.
4. The children will develop the habit of reading widely and often for both pleasure and
information.
5. The children will acquire a wide vocabulary, an understanding of grammar and knowledge
of linguistic conventions for reading, writing and spoken language.
6. The children will appreciate our rich and varied literary heritage.
7. The children will write clearly, accurately and coherently, adapting their language and style
in and for a range of contexts, purposes and audiences.
8. The children will use discussion in order to learn; they should be able to elaborate and
explain clearly their understanding and ideas.
9. The children will become competent in the arts of speaking and listening, making formal
presentations, demonstrating to others and participating in debate.
