                 SUB TOPIC- A CLOSER LOOK (a) MAGADHA


                    ➢  It was the most important mahajanapada.
                    ➢  Bimbisara and Ajatasatru were the important rulers.
                    ➢  Magadha was known for its transport, water supplies, forests, iron ore
                        mines.
                    ➢  Mahapadma Nanda was the other important ruler.
                    ➢  The first capital was Rajgriha shifted to Pataliputra.
                 SUB TOPIC- A CLOSER LOOK (b) VAJJI


                    ➢  Vajji unlike Magadha followed a different form of government- gana or
                        sangha.
                    ➢  There were not one but many rajas.
                    ➢  They frequently met to discuss on important matters.
