                                                  TOPIC: FRACTION

SUB TOPIC-6: Lowest term of fractions

If numerator and denominator of a fraction have no common factor other than 1(one),
then the fraction is said to be in its simple form or in lowest term.

Fractions in lowest terms/ simplest form are discussed in the following steps in order to
               reduce a fraction.

In order to reduce a fraction to its lowest terms the following steps are:

Step I: Find a number that is divisible by both numerator and denominator .

Step II: Divide both the numerator and denominator by that number.

Step III: Then we have to check again they both are divisible by any number further or
               we have to stop there.

               Example:

               30 /36

                      30÷ 2 15
                          /36 ÷ 2 = /18
                      =15÷3/ 18÷3 = 5/6

So, the lowest term is 5/6.
