Alliterative Poem
In poetry,repeating initial letter sounds
creates focus and rhythm.
For ex: BettyBotter bought some butter
"But",she said,"the butter's bitter.
If I put it in my batter,
It will make my batter bitter."
Learning objective: The students will be able to use alliterative words in a
poem.
Alliteration: When words in a sentence, story or poem begin with the same
sound.
Adam ate an apple.
Beth blew her blue balloon.
Cathy calls her cat Carla.
Dean dines with Dan at Domino’s.
