               SUB –TOPIC : POLITICAL MAP AND THEMATIC MAP

               NOTES:

                     A Map is a representation or a drawing of the earth’s surface or a part of
                       it drawn on a flat surface.

                     It is drawn according to  scale.


               POLITICAL MAPS:

                     Maps showing cities, towns and villages, and different countries and
                       states of the world with their boundaries are called political maps.














                       This is the political map of our country,showing  different states.

               THEMATIC MAPS:

                     These maps provide specific information on specific topics
                        Eg: Roads, occurrence of rainfall, distribution of forest, industries etc.














                       This is rainfall map of our country.
