                                                   Subject- Physics

                                           Ch. – Electricity and Circuits
                                               Subtopic- Electric cells

                       Types of electric cell:
                       Primary cell:
 The chemical reaction that converts the chemical energy into electrical
                              energy is irreversible.
 Primary cells cannot be charged.
 Primary cells cannot be reused once exhausted.
                           E.g. - dry cell
 They are generally use in clocks, toys, flashlights and radio.

                       Secondary cell:
 The chemical reaction that converts the chemical energy into electrical
                              energy is reversible.
 Secondary ells can be charged.
                           It can be reuse.
 They are generally used in trucks, cars and motorcycles.

                       Solar cell:
 This cell use sunlight to generate electric current.
 They are generally use in street lamps, solar cookers and heaters.
